This is Flopsy.
Flopsy came to us around 9 weeks of age with a broken pelvis, dragging her rear limbs, and purring contentedly the entire time. She had the sweetest spirit and just wanted to be held and loved. Even though she must have been in a great deal of pain, she greeted every person who met her with her soulful green eyes and a purr. Unfortunately, despite a lot of effort and vet visits, Flopsy could not be saved. She purred until the very end.
Flopsy inspired us to start Flopsy’s Friends Foundation. We still miss our sweet girl.
Our Mission
To provide or organize humane shelter, resources, and care for companion animals in need of housing and to provide education to fellow animal lovers, particularly foster families. We particularly try to home and rehabilitate animals on the “To Be Euthanized” lists at other shelters and animals that may need longer term care.
