Flopsy’s Friends Foundation was created in honor of Flopsy, a sweet soul who passed away while being fostered in our Treasurer’s home. Her loss left us heartbroken—and determined. We truly believe that with more resources and better access to medical care, Flopsy could have been saved. She is the reason we do this work, and her memory inspires us every single day.
Founded in 2024 by three longtime fosters, our foundation grew out of frustration with the overcrowding in local shelters and the overwhelming animal overpopulation crisis in our community. Too many cats and dogs—especially those with medical needs or special circumstances—were being euthanized or left to suffer simply because there wasn’t enough space, funding, or care available.
We saw a need, and we couldn’t turn away.
At Flopsy’s Friends Foundation, we focus on giving those most at risk a real chance: the scared, the sick, the injured, the overlooked. We believe every animal deserves safety, comfort, and love—no matter how much time or care they require.
Together, with the support of our community, fosters, adopters, and donors, we are working to turn heartbreak into hope and to ensure that no animal’s story ends too soon.
