Snickers

Snickers was rescued from a terrible hoarding situation of over 50+ cats earlier in 2024. Being a quiet and tiny guy, Snickers was timid from the time of rescue. Although he was never physically aggressive with anyone, he was very scared and would hiss or swat in the kennel upon rescue. Due to this Snickers was scheduled to be euthanized and eventually placed on behavioral evaluation, unavailable for adoption. Snickers found himself rescued by members of our board and has very slowly learned to trust his human family members. Snickers has been one of Flopsy’s Friends’ biggest challenges. He needed a LOT of patience and time, and he couldn't give trust easily as he had never experienced it before.

In November we discovered that Snickers is in kidney failure and experiencing pancreatitis. The years of neglect and malnutrition he endured prior to rescue have robbed him of SO much. We've begun treatment for him to make him comfortable for the time he has left. We will treat him following the care plan from his vet and will spoil him as much as we possibly can. He will stay in his current home, where he is a sanctuary member of Flopsy's Friends and will not be placed for adoption. His goal now is love and happiness and HOPE for healing.
